Storm Shaken

She was hibernating,
 oblivious of the storm
 seething, and
preparing to blow her away.
startled, she was roused
by the clap of thunder;
In her dream she had,but,
heard an applause

Delusions were shaken,
rather rudely
and she sprang up to starkness
of reality

Your Unwritten Poem

You hold a poem in your heart
the one that you wrote on a
 rain soaked day
when the clouds obliged us
with a much blessed spray

You still have it
tucked somewhere in your orbit

Your eyes and your sighs
your  lows and your highs
give you away

In your verses
you hold your love
and my nonchalance.
Your words,but, convey
no grievance.

Several notes exchange hands
 you write some
and recite some
Only
one poem remains
silent
you hold it,  tucked
in the parenthesis!

The Elusive Rainbow

I stole a patch of sun
while you were hibernating
I wished you to wake up
to light
The sun burned and melted
in my palm
You refused to stir.

You awoke to
the clap of thunder.
The sky wore the gloom,
the rain fell in sheets.
You pranced in joy!
I still stood
holding the patch of Sun

Soon the deluge
threatened to
drown you,
drown us.
You looked worried
but not beaten
I took refuge in my faith;
you let your belief
carry you away.

You still  have the rain,
I still carry the sun.
The rainbow,but gives us
the miss!

The Ring of Moon

When the moon came down
descending upon the earthlings
She hung over the bridge
across the dusty city sky.
No poets she came across
who wrote for her the odes
No painters came by her
who brought her alive
on their canvas boards

The moon lay waiting
for lovers to come seeking
the inspiration
that made them croon
the love songs

Forlorn ,it stayed put
a halo illuminating
the drab earth
and then, after eons
it rose steadily
before the greedy earth
could suck her
in its decadence
So, majestically it rose
and slowly faded
behind the clouds
